Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the 7pm–7am night shift in Leominster, MA. This part-time role requires ARS Respiratory Care AS degree, NBRC RRT, MA license, BLS, ACLS/NRP/PALS within 3 months, and strong patient-care skills.

Collaboration with physicians and ongoing patient assessment are essential. Responsibilities include ventilator support, medication administration, ABG analysis, and education for staff and patients.

Qualifications

• AS in Respiratory Care required.
• NBRC RRT credential required.
• Massachusetts State Respiratory Care License required.
• BLS required; ACLS, NRP, PALS within 3 months of employment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of a team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Reviews patients' electronic medical record for history, reason for admission, data, and orders.
• Administers aerosolized medications.
• Draws and analyzes arterial blood gases and reports critical values.
• Communicates with physicians to optimize therapy and dosing as per orders.
