Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position in Massachusetts. The role involves administering therapies, analyzing arterial blood gases, and collaborating with physicians to optimize patient care.

Experience with emergency response and monitoring is essential. The successful candidate will hold an AS in Respiratory Care, NBRC RRT credential, MA license, and current BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications (within required timelines).

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak clearly in English.
• Associate of Science in Respiratory Care required.
• Current NBRC RRT credential.
• Massachusetts State Respiratory Care License required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of a team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Reviews patient charts and orders for appropriate history and data.
• Administers aerosolized medications and analyzes arterial blood gases.
• Provides emergency care and supports with critical events as needed.
• Maintains respiratory therapy equipment and documents patient care in the EMR.
