Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Massachusetts. The role involves delivering respiratory care across age groups, operating ABG machines, ventilators, and High Flow Oxygen Therapy, and documenting care in the EMR.

Excellent customer service and adherence to hospital standards are required. The position offers day shift hours (7A-7P), non-exempt status, and a competitive starting range with potential signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Massachusetts licensure in respiratory care, full or limited.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers (BLSHP).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Appropriately documents all care activity performed in the hospital EMR system.
• Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities.
• Demonstrates competency in utilization and maintenance of arterial blood gas machines.
• Demonstrates competency in proper set up and utilization of all mechanical ventilators.
• Demonstrates competency in proper set up and utilization of the V60 NIPPV.
• Demonstrates competency in proper set up and utilization of all High Flow Oxygen Therapy systems.
• Demonstrates competency in the disinfection, transport and set up of all non-disposable equipment.
