Community Health Systems in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time, 36-hour workweek on a 5p-5a shift with no call and no weekends. The RT will administer pharmacologic and therapeutic respiratory care, document care, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires RRT certification and 1–3 years of acute care experience; ABG collection, ventilator management, and strict infection control are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of respiratory experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administers advanced respiratory treatments and monitors patient responses.
• Performs ABG punctures and reports results promptly.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures as assigned.
• Maintains respiratory therapy equipment and ensures safety standards.
• Documents all treatments and patient responses clearly in EMR.
• Manages ventilator settings and airway maintenance.
