Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our South location in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, night shift opportunity.

The RT will assess, treat, and care for patients with respiratory disorders, administer therapies, and monitor ventilators. The RT collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care, perform diagnostic tests, educate patients, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• AS degree preferred or equivalent
• Certificate required for credentialing
• BLS required for clinical practice
• ACLS preferred for advanced care
• PALS preferred for pediatric care
• NRP preferred for neonatal care
• Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with breathing disorders
• Administer respiratory therapies as prescribed
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests
• Monitor and manage mechanical ventilators
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
• Provide patient education on breathing techniques and medications
• Maintain accurate patient assessments and progress documentation
