Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - RRT to provide advanced respiratory care under physician orders, including ABG procedures, ventilator management, and patient assessments. The role supports a night shift with a collaborative healthcare team.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, safety compliance, and ongoing professional development to uphold high-quality patient care and departmental standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of respiratory experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• RRT certification required.
• BCLS/ACLS/PALS required or as specified.
• NRP/STABLE for NICU as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Administer advanced respiratory treatments and monitor patient responses.
• Orient patients to treatment modalities to ensure cooperation.
• Perform ABG punctures and report results promptly.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures as assigned.
• Conduct pulmonary testing as needed.
• Follow respiratory protocols and safety guidelines.
• Maintain equipment and PPE; ensure infection control.
