Job summary

Trinity Health in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the night shift in an acute care hospital setting. The role requires critical thinking, knowledge of adult respiratory disease processes and respiratory therapy applications, including mechanical ventilation and blood gas analysis.

Requires Florida RRT licensure, NBRC certification, BLS/ACLS and at least 1 year of hospital experience. A $20K sign-on bonus is available and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
• RRT Florida licensed, active NBRC certificate.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• At least 1 year hospital experience preferred.
• Competency in blood gas analysis and spirometry.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care therapies and oxygen administration following proper policy and procedure.
• Performs floor care therapies and oxygen in an acute care setting.
• Performs or assists with endotracheal intubation as indicated in a safe manner.
• Performs endotracheal extubation as indicated in a safe manner.
• Maintains clinical competency for mechanical ventilation in adult critical care units.
• Able to perform arterial blood gas draws in a safe and effective manner from radial, brachial and femoral arteries.
