Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, NC. This full-time night-shift role offers 36 hours weekly and a pay range of $30.70–$46.05 per hour.

You will provide respiratory care across the hospital, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and maintain competence with point-of-care testing, while adhering to age-specific care guidelines and NBRC/NC licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved two or four-year program for respiratory care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC and licensed to practice as an RCP in NC required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• PALS and NRP required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment through communication and teamwork.
• Provides respiratory therapies following age-appropriate standards and departmental policies.
• Initiates and maintains mechanical ventilation and airway support.
• Reports routine clinical procedures to relief personnel for continuity of care and performs point-of-care testing as assigned.
• Provides invasive and non-invasive monitoring to ensure patient safety.
• Maintains professional knowledge and ensures quality improvement to enhance service.
• Ensures age-specific care according to guidelines for the served age groups.
