Endeavor Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for per diem coverage at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. Shifts vary across early, mid, and night slots with weekends/holidays rotated.

You will support physicians, deliver therapy to all age groups, assess treatment methods, document care, and educate patients/families. Required are a CoARC-accredited RT program graduation, RRT or registry eligibility, IL licensure within six months, CPR, and within 24 months ACLS/NRP/PALS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry eligible.
• Illinois licensure within six months of employment.
• Current CPR certification (AHA).
• ACLS, NRP and PALS required within 24 months of employment.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians with Respiratory Therapy procedures.
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered.
• Assess patients to determine the most suitable method of administering treatment.
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities; transcribe orders.
• Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed clearly.
• Monitor patient response to therapy, with focus on pediatric and neonatal patients.
• Provide patient and staff education.

Hourly Pay Range:

$33.16 - $51.40 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Respiratory Therapist RRT - Per Diem
• Location: Glenbrook Hospital - Glenview, IL
• Per Diem | Hours are Based on Department Needs
• Hours: Shifts will vary Monday-Friday from 6:30am-7pm, 6:30pm-7am, 6:30am-3pm, or 2:30pm-11pm with rotating weekends and holidays

What you will do:

• Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
• Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
• Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
• Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
• Provide patient and staff education

What you will need:

• Education: Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), required.
• License/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status, required.
• State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required within 6 months of employment.
• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association, required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 24 months of employment
