This position is onsite in the Muhlenberg/Lehigh Valley area. The ideal candidate will have an AMA-approved Respiratory Care education, RRT certification, ACLS within 60 days, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Care.
• RRT certification or eligible within 1 year.
• ACLS certification within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Administers physician-prescribed respiratory therapy, including oxygen, meds, PFTs, ABGs, and ventilation.
• Performs evaluation procedures to determine respiratory care needs and improves patient outcomes.
• Monitors patients on mechanical ventilation with rounds, safety, and weaning.
• Collects and analyzes sputum, blood and breath specimens for diagnosis.
• Measures lung capacity to identify impairments and treatment effectiveness.
• Communicates with health care team to ensure continuity of care and coordination.
• Ensures smooth operation of PFT and ABG labs and other assigned duties.
