Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to administer comprehensive respiratory care, manage ventilator support, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize patient outcomes. The role includes training staff, conducting arterial blood gas analyses, and leading respiratory therapy for both critical and general care patients.

Candidates should have an Associate’s Degree and RRT certification, with required PA certifications (ACLS/BLS/PALS/NRP) pursued

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; RRT licensure/certification expected.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS/NRP certifications required within stated timelines.
• Experience with respiratory therapies and equipment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care and manage pulmonary care for a patient group.
• Perform assessments, support, treatment and diagnostic tests as part of the care team.
• Conduct ventilator management, BiPAP and respiratory monitoring.
• Educate patients and staff on sleep apnea, CPAP and related therapies.
• Set up diagnostic nocturnal sleep screens and manage respiratory medications.
