Qualifications

• Assoc. degree from an accredited RRT program; NBRC license within 1 year
• ACLS obtained within 60 days of hire
• BLS obtained within 30 days of hire
• PALS obtained within 60 days of hire
• NRP within 60 days of hire
• RCP license for PA within 60 days
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies
• Perform ventilator management and respiratory monitoring
• Set up and administer respiratory medications and aerosols as ordered
• Maintain respiratory equipment inventory
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory care practices
• Perform arterial blood gas studies and analyze results
• Assist sleep studies and CPAP setup
• Provide CPR and critical care support as needed
