Job summary

AdventHealth in Apopka, FL is seeking a PRN Night Respiratory Therapist to deliver advanced respiratory care in a critical care setting. You will manage airway support, ventilated patients, and inhaled therapies as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an RRT license (or NBRC credential), BLS, an Associate's in Respiratory Therapy, and 1+ year of critical care experience. Night shifts, Florida location, and compliance with state regulations are included.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Active State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure or NBRC credential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1+ year of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform airway maintenance and airway management per facility needs.
• Deliver inhaled medications and bronchial hygiene therapy.
• Document procedures and charges accurately.
• Respond to Code Blue emergencies with CPR per AHA guidelines.
• Assess patient needs and plan care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor and interpret diagnostic data and labs.
• Provide respiratory care on invasive/non-invasive ventilation.
• Complete orientation and critical care training programs.
