Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a PRN night shift. You will document and charge for procedures, support patient flow, and follow safety protocols in collaboration with the health care team.

You will perform arterial blood gas analysis, manage respiratory therapies, assist with ventilators, and ensure quality control. Requires an Associate degree, BLS, RRT, NBRC basics, and adherence to Florida credentialing rules.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• BLS and RRT credentials required; NBRC credential preferred.
• 1+ year of critical care experience preferred.
• Florida background screening requirements may apply for certain roles.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges for procedures accurately and completely.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient flow.
• Responds to Code Blue emergencies with CPR according to the American Heart Association.
• Performs respiratory therapies and manages ventilators per protocol.
• Assesses and reports arterial blood gases and co-oximetry results; performs quality controls.
