Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor license within 60 days of hire.
• First Aid/CPR certification before first independent shift.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and explains program and unit policy to residents as needed.
• Performs and documents daily shift activities per program policies and standards.
• Supervises and monitors resident movement, activity and rule compliance.
• Assesses resident behaviors and responds appropriately.
• Implements and assists in planning structured activities for social and independent living skills.
• Provides written documentation for the resident's treatment plan and review.
• Assists residents with health, hygiene, and transportation needs as required.
• Coordinates transportation and may drive a 15-passenger van when needed.
• Completes intake and discharge procedures for residents.
• Attends department meetings and collaborates with staff.
