Job summary

BAMSI in Middleboro, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor - MAP to support adults in Group Living Environments, helping with daily living skills and community reintegration.

You will teach ADLs, implement treatment plans, supervise medications, transport residents, advocate for their needs, and maintain a safe home. Weekend and overnight hours are required as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong communication skills in English and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus: lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
