Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or a minimum of 2 years high level plant-based laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
• Ability to follow Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on deficiencies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; lead others through change.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Team leadership across multiple functions and disciplines.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Understanding of cost containment and budgetary principles.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervises lab employees to maximize productivity and maintain high quality and food safety standards.
• Collaborates with plant management and supervisors to optimize quality and productivity.
• Ensures procedures for product quality, safety, and guidelines are followed.
• Coordinates schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for assignments.
• Trains and instructs employees on quality and food safety standards.
