Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative's West Seneca plant in New York is seeking a Cheese Processing Supervisor to oversee the Cheese Room operations, ensuring safe, efficient production and high-quality results.

The role starts on day shift but requires flexibility to support second/night shifts, weekends, sanitation projects, and training across shifts.

You will lead production, maintenance coordination, and QA, maintain SOPs, and ensure compliance with PMO, GMPs, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of dairy manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
• Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Must demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, and a commitment to the organization’s mission.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in the Cheese Room to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Lead maintenance coordination and quality control activities.
• Ensure adherence to PMO, GMPs, sanitation, and safety rules.
• Provide coaching and development for employees.
• Prepare weekly schedules and manage staffing and Teamsters Local 264 CBA.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for inventory and packaging material usage.
• Drive continuous improvement with CI initiatives.
