Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science-based field or 2 years of high-level plant-based lab experience.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
• Ability to follow sanitation and quality policies and report deficiencies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer-based applications.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs; lead others through change.

Responsibilities

• Maximize product quality and productivity with plant management.
• Ensure procedures for product quality, employee safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Support QA systems to satisfy internal and customer requirements, including process evaluation and product protection programs; process specs and standards; sanitation, HACCP and GMP programs; labeling; storage and distribution.
• Coordinate schedules and estimate worker hours for job completion.
• Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance and product quality.
• Analyze and resolve work, quality and food safety problems; assist workers.
• Maintain quality and food safety records.
• Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities across departments.
• Supervise assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities; handle feedback, disciplinary actions and performance management; may participate in grievances per contract.
• Train employees on quality and food safety standards and processes.
• Enforce policies as they relate to employees; manage planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating like a manager.
• Adhere to Saputo code of ethics and Saputo values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
