Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is hiring a QA Laboratory Technician to perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. You will enter results, maintain logs, and advise supervisors on any non-conforming product, ensuring compliance with GMP/GLP standards.

The role requires strong data accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams while supporting internal and external audits to uphold Saputo’s quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of work experience.
• Experience with quality specifications, process control monitoring and documentation.
• Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications.
• Familiarity with GMPs or GLPs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database applications for quality data systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analytical and organoleptic testing of raw ingredients, in-process samples and finished goods.
• Enter test results into quality databases or spreadsheets.
• Record information in logs and forms as required.
• Advise and confer with departmental supervisors regarding non-conforming product.
• Place non-conforming products on hold and assess disposition.
• Understand and enforce compliance to regulatory, corporate and plant policies.
• Support QA during internal and external audits.
• Review records and databases for discrepancies.
