Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the night shift in the Roanoke area. The role oversees QA on the production floor and in the laboratory to ensure food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in a confidential beverage manufacturing environment.

You will lead, coach, and develop QA staff, review testing data, and drive continuous improvement across processes to maintain consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or comparable education in biology, chemistry, food science, health sciences, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication, organization, and team development skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment in manufacturing settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA personnel, set priorities, and ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of work.
• Coach and develop team members through training and feedback.
• Collaborate with Production and other departments to address quality concerns and maintain food safety standards.
• Oversee QA programs, documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Support regulatory, certification, customer, and product specifications compliance.
• Review laboratory results, investigate exceptions, and identify unfavorable trends.
• Recommend process improvements based on data and quality metrics.
• Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits and assessments.
• Drive continuous improvement to strengthen product quality and customer satisfaction.
