Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/ Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a phlebotomist for night shift in Sun City West, Arizona. The role covers specimen collection, receipt into the system, and preparation for testing across hospital facilities, PSCs, IOPs or mobile services.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent may be required depending on state.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• May require DHS Fingerprinting Certification.
• Valid state driver’s license and auto insurance eligibility.
• Float positions require travel and flexible hours across multiple locations.
• May be required to work weekends, evenings, holidays, overtime, and on-call duties.
• Career ladder progression through department requirements.

Responsibilities

• Specimen collection and proper handling across age groups and locations.
• Enter and verify patient demographics, tests, and billing data.
• Verify specimen accuracy and prepare samples for transport.
• Assist in monitoring workflow and training new employees.
• Maintain quality and productivity according to standards.
• Participate in departmental financial responsibilities and cost control.
• Communicate courteously with internal and external customers.
