Singing River Health System in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a Phlebotomist/Courier for the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with rotating weekends and holidays. The role covers venipunctures, specimen transport, labeling, and clerical tasks across the inpatient lab.

You will work under supervision of the Lab Director and Phlebotomy Supervisor, with training in de-escalation due within 90 days and a requirement for a valid driver’s license.

Formación

• High School graduate or equivalent; some college preferred in health/science fields.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred from an approved agency.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Must complete de-escalation training within 90 days.

Responsabilidades

• Perform venipunctures, heel and finger sticks, and other specimen collections.
• Transport laboratory specimens to and from sites following procedures.
• Ensure correct patient identification and specimen labeling.
• Handle clerical tasks, orders, and reports; communicate findings to nurses/doctors.
• Maintain safe driving and safe work practices; follow safety guidelines.
