The Singing River Health System in Pascagoula, MS is seeking a Phlebotomist/Courier who will transport specimens, perform venipunctures, and ensure accurate labeling and processing for the clinical laboratory.

You will work the 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM shift with rotating weekends and holidays, interact with patients across adult and pediatric settings, and support courier duties while following safety guidelines and department procedures.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; health/science related coursework preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record.
• Certification in phlebotomy is required or must be obtained from an approved program.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred; flexibility with patient care settings.

Responsabilidades

• Perform venipunctures, heel and finger sticks, and other specimen collections.
• Transport and correctly label specimens to the clinical laboratory.
• Complete clerical duties and entry of orders in computer systems; communicate with nurses/doctors.
• Ensure patient identification, specimen preservation, and safe handling according to procedures.
• Follow safety guidelines and assist in de-escalation as needed.
