Singing River Health System is seeking a Phlebotomist/Courier at Singing River Pascagoula Hospital to transport laboratory specimens, collect samples, and ensure proper processing. The role requires driving within SRHS locations, accurate labeling, and adherence to safety guidelines.

The position involves venipuncture, heel/finger sticks, and clerical tasks; a High School diploma or equivalent is required, with health/science coursework preferred and a valid driver’s license.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent; health/science coursework preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must complete de-escalation training by orientation (90 days).

Responsabilidades

• Transport lab specimens to/from clinic and SRHS locations per procedures.
• Perform venipunctures, heel and finger sticks, and other specimen collections.
• Ensure proper patient identification, labeling, preservation, and pre-test processing.
• Files reports, transcribes orders, and communicates results to nurses/doctors.
• Complete clerical duties and computer functions.
