Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Patient Care Technician for Medical Stroke Telemetry on the night shift at Glenbrook Hospital. 32 hours weekly with rotating weekends, under RN/LPN supervision, performing essential patient care and monitoring duties.

The role emphasizes patient safety, ADLs assistance, procedural support, and effective communication with patients and healthcare staff. CNA training and BLS certification are preferred or required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited CNA training course preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Patient & Visitor Interactions / Customer Service / Hourly Rounding on assigned patients.
• Patient Safe Handling / Ambulation / Repositioning with Safe Patient Handling equipment.
• Basic Nursing Care - ADLs: assist with bathing, grooming, feeding, bed care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Admission, Discharge and Transfers; orient patients and accompany to rooms as needed.
• Perform and document procedures and treatments under supervision; monitor vitals and collect specimens.
• Care Companion / Sitter / Observer to ensure patient safety as required.
• Department-specific tasks: restock equipment, file records, deliver supplies and tests.
