Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician, Cardiac Medical Telemetry, to join our Glenbrook Hospital team in Glenview. Under the direction of an RN or LPN, you will perform patient care tasks that support the care, comfort and safety of patients and demonstrate the knowledge to care for patients across ages on the unit.

You will participate in hourly rounding, assist with ADLs, monitoring vital signs, ECGs and specimen collection, and help with admissions, discharges and transfers.

Qualifications

• CNA training preferred; US work authorization.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors; hourly rounding and customer service.
• Assist in ambulation and safe patient handling per RN/LPN guidance.
• Provide ADL assistance and basic nursing care under supervision.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfers and transport patients.
• Record vitals, ECGs, urine tests and perform routine care tasks as directed.
