Job summary

The Patient Care Technician role at Endeavor Health's Glenbrook Hospital supports RNs and LPNs in providing compassionate care on the Cardiac Medical Telemetry unit. You will help with daily patient needs, safety, and comfort, while adhering to hospital policies and patient experience standards.

Responsibilities include responding to call lights, assisting with ADLs, transfers, vitals, wound care, and accurate documentation, all within a collaborative nursing team and clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• CNA training preferred.
• Clinical rotation in medical/surgical nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors, answer call lights and phones, and perform hourly rounding.
• Assist in ambulation and safe patient handling under nurse supervision.
• Provide basic nursing care: bathing, grooming, feeding, bedpan/urinal, turning.
• Assist with admission, discharge, transfers and room orientation.
• Document patient care activities including vital signs, ADL, intake/output, and wound care.
• Promote skin integrity and communicate patient needs to the care team.
