UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician I for the night shift at our Southbridge, MA campus. You will assist with patient care, perform vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and support the healthcare team under licensed supervision.

Responsibilities include observing high-risk patients, maintaining safety, and performing EKGs, POC tests, and specimen collection. This on-site role requires English proficiency and Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days as a condition of employment.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Basic computer skills and Medical Terminology knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes seen in patients.
• Provides constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned by the Resource Nurse or designee.
• Assists patient with daily living activities and mobility.
• Takes and records vital signs and measures patient weights/heights.
• Performs EKGs, POC tests, bladder scanning and collects specimens for lab.
