Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Observation Unit at Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus, Elmhurst, IL. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with 7:00pm–7:30am shifts and every third weekend/holiday tracking.

Under RN supervision, you will perform essential patient care tasks and ensure patient comfort and safety. CPR certification is required; prior CNA training or experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification current (American Heart Association).
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum 6 months of patient care experience, or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
• Completion of a care Companion Course within six months if required by the department.

Responsibilities

• Under RN direction, performs patient care tasks to ensure patient comfort, safety and care.
• Adheres to established procedures for patient care in the Observation Unit.
