Job summary

Forward Air Corporation is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day multimodal logistics activities. You will supervise frontline associates, drive safety and quality performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This on-site role carries a 24/7 style shift with a Monday–Friday nights schedule and a compensation of $74,100 annually. You will coordinate workload, manage inventory processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet service commitments.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred in related field.
Forklift certification/licensure required or ability to obtain before operating equipment.
3+ years in warehouse/distribution/transportation, with supervisory experience.
Experience leading frontline teams in fast-paced environments.
Strong knowledge of WMS/TMS/ERP and reporting tools.
Lean/Six Sigma/5S/Kaizen or similar improvement methods.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily operational activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, dispatching, and similar logistics tasks.
Coordinate and prioritize work to meet service, safety, quality, and productivity targets.
Ensure safe handling and timely movement of inventory, freight, and equipment.
Monitor workflow, resource use, and labor allocation to support efficient execution.
Adhere to SOPs and change control processes; support audits and compliance.
