Job summary

Forward Air Corporation seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day multimodal logistics activities, ensuring safe, efficient execution and excellent customer service. You will coach frontline staff, drive productivity, and support continuous improvement initiatives on a 12pm–close shift.

The role requires 3+ years in warehouse/logistics supervision, forklift certification, and proficiency with WMS/TMS/ERP systems; on-site work at a facility location is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure required.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in warehouse/transport/logistics.
• Proficient in WMS/TMS/ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operational activities across logistics workflows to meet service and safety targets.
• Coordinate and prioritize work assignments for team members to ensure quality and productivity.
• Ensure safe handling, transport, and dispatch of goods in line with SOPs and compliance.
• Monitor resource usage and labor allocation to optimize throughput and cost.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
• Provide coaching and direction to frontline associates and support training.
