Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking an Operations Dock Supervisor to lead our fast-paced dock and shipping operation. The role coordinates dockworkers, drivers, and support staff on weekend nights.

You will plan resources, monitor performance, provide training and feedback, enforce safety standards including hazardous materials handling, and ensure load plans are balanced for safe vehicle operation and on-time deliveries across shifts.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Prior air freight experience is required.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials handling is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise dockworkers and support personnel engaged in loading/unloading trucks and trailers.
• Assign tasks to workers according to unloading/loading schedules.
• Provide weekly guidance to subordinates on goals and objectives.
