Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day multimodal transportation and logistics activities.

You will supervise frontline teams, drive productivity, ensure safety and quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the shift. The role requires 3+ years of supervisory experience in logistics, strong English communication, and familiarity with WMS/TMS/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics.
• Proven ability to lead frontline teams in fast-paced operations with performance focus.
• Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Familiarity with WMS, TMS, ERP systems and related reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operational activities across receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and dispatch.
• Coordinate and prioritize work assignments to meet service, quality, safety, and productivity targets.
• Ensure safe, accurate handling of inventory, freight, and equipment, and on-time dispatch.
• Monitor workflow, labor allocation, and equipment usage to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and SOPs; lead safety initiatives.
• Lead problem-solving for service issues, defects, delays, or escalations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S).
• Provide day-to-day coaching and development for frontline associates.
