Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education)
• 3 years experience in distribution center operations or related area (or 7 years with increasing responsibilities if education not met)
• Leadership experience with direct report responsibility, including leading salary level direct reports
• Experience mentoring and coaching others
• Experience leading a team through change
• Experience managing resources, time and budgets
• Experience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problems
• Experience leading others through change

Responsibilities

• Identifies and resolves safety issues on the floor and notifies relevant party for resolution
• Completes safety observations and promotes a culture of safety
• Partners with corporate to determine daily workload and monitors inventory movements
• Evaluates staffing needs and moves personnel to meet priorities
• Communicates objectives and workload plans to supervisors and leadership
• Reports on key performance metrics to upper management and Corporate
• Sets supervisors up for success to meet KPI, safety, performance and budget targets
• Collaborates with other shifts to ensure consistent processes and expectations
• Communicates with Support Managers to ensure staffing plans meet customer needs
• Identifies needs for efficient operations, safety improvements, and bottlenecks
• Reports on key performance and financial figures to upper management
• Responsible for Key Operations Performance metrics of the shift
• Assists in implementing corporate-initiated process improvements
