Job summary

M.C. Dean seeks a dependable Dispatcher I for our overnight operations at the Ruther Glen, Virginia facility. This on-site role handles service requests, creates work orders, and coordinates field resources for 24/7 operations. You will communicate updates to customers and teams, ensuring accurate records and timely responses.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently overnight while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED with 1+ years of experience.
• Customer service, call center, dispatch, administrative support, or operations experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collect, document, and relay detailed information accurately.
• Ability to work overnight hours and weekends/holidays.
• Organized and detail-oriented; can manage multiple requests and changing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, databases, and web-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive service, maintenance, and emergency requests by telephone, email, databases, and other channels.
• Create accurate work orders or service tickets and ensure all required information is documented.
• Prioritize requests according to procedures, requirements, and urgency.
• Dispatch technicians to work locations.
• Monitor technician availability, coverage areas, assignments, arrival times, and completion status.
• Communicate assignments and status updates to customers, technicians, managers, and project personnel.
• Maintain accurate customer, project, technician, and operational information in systems.
• Update work orders and logs throughout the service lifecycle.
• Enter attendance and work activity information for timekeeping and reporting.
