Job summary

Element Critical is seeking an Operations Technician I at our Wood Dale, IL site to support critical infrastructure operations and customer service via ticketing systems. This role emphasizes site security, shipping/receiving, and hands-on network/infrastructure assistance, with duties in monitoring alerts and ensuring uptime.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in related operations, solid knowledge of security hardware/software, and proficiency with NetSuite and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 2–4 years in Security Operations, Data Center Operations or Customer Service preferred.
• Familiarity with security hardware/software, data center monitoring tools, help desk software.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to learn and take on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform Site Security functions including badge processing and access control enrollment.
• Process Site Access Requests and Shipping/Receiving NetSuite cases; track packages and chain of custody.
• Monitor NetSuite case queues; acknowledge and dispatch customer requests.
• Monitor BMS and NMS alerts; create NetSuite cases for alarms.
• Provide remote hands services for hardware installation and cable management.
• Record and report status via tickets and shift reports; maintain accurate records.
