Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Evaluation and Treatment Center to work nights (7p–7:30a). You will assess, triage, and care oncology patients, administer medications, draw blood, and manage lines as part of a coordinated care team.

The role requires 1 year ER/urgent care experience, an ADN or equivalent, AZ RN license or compact-state license, and mandatory BLS and ACLS within 30 days of hire. ONS Cancer Basics within 6 months is expected.

Qualifications

• 1 year ER and/or Urgent Care experience.
• Arizona RN license or compact-state license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 30 days of hire and renewed every two years.
• ONS Cancer Basics within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage oncology patients requiring prompt medical attention.
• Administer medications via all routes with six rights and monitoring.
• Collect blood specimens and blood cultures as needed.
• Care for patients with invasive lines (IV, central lines, ports).
• Coordinate discharge instructions and referrals to other levels of care.
• Attend in-house codes and rapid response calls as required.
• Assist inpatient admissions including documentation and reconciliation.
