Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Evaluation and Treatment Center, nights, in Goodyear, AZ. You will assess, triage, and provide care for oncology patients, coordinating treatment and transfers while administering meds and monitoring responses.

The role requires ER/Urgent Care experience, an AZ RN license or Compact license, and BLS with ACLS within 30 days of hire. You will participate in codes and patient discharge planning.

Qualifications

• 1 year ER and/or Urgent Care experience.
• Arizona RN license or a Compact State license.
• BLS certification required upon hire and renew every two years.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and renewed every two years.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage oncology patients needing prompt attention.
• Coordinate patient care during treatment and transfers.
• Administer medications using the six rights and monitor for side effects.
• Perform blood draws and care for IV lines and ports as needed.
• Attend in-house codes and rapid response calls as required.
• Manage inpatient admission processes and discharge instructions.
