Job summary

Quality Home Health, Hospice & Palliative Care in Utah County is seeking a compassionate Hospice RN – Night On-Call to provide skilled nursing care during after-hours shifts. This full-time position features a 7 Nights On / 7 Nights Off schedule with a Monday-to-Monday rotation.

The role emphasizes telephone triage, urgent patient support, and collaboration with an on-call nursing team and Administrator On-Call to ensure seamless patient care.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Utah.
• Experience in hospice/home health or palliative care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and symptom management skills.
• Experience with end-of-life care preferred.
• Ability to work independently in urgent situations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours calls and triage patient needs.
• Provide guidance and arrange in-person visits when needed.
• Perform urgent nursing visits for uncontrolled symptoms.
• Assess and manage pain, respiratory distress, and other end-of-life symptoms.
• Coordinate with hospice physicians and leadership for orders/interventions.
• Complete emergent hospice admissions when needed.
• Collaborate with on-call nurses and Administrator On-Call for support.
• Document accurately in EMR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
