Job summary

Seattle Children's in Seattle, WA seeks a Registered Nurse for the CBDC Inpatient unit, 0.9 FTE, Night Shift. The RN delivers safe, family-centered pediatric care and collaborates with the health care team to plan and evaluate care using the Nursing Process.

Responsibilities include assessing and coordinating care with families, mentoring ancillary staff, and supporting performance improvement and patient safety initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN License, or other current state license that the RN is required to work in.
• BLS is required for all positions at time of hire unless the incumbent possesses a current Life Support Education required for their practice area; PEARS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS; ACLS not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Care Process in collaboration with the patient and family and health care team.
• Provide supervision and delegation of tasks to Nurse Technicians, LPNs, CNAs and other staff as defined by the State Administrative Code.
• Contribute to Seattle Children's strategic goals including CPI, Value Based Behaviors, and Patient Safety.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current Washington State RN License

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
