Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit in New Brunswick. This night-shift role (7pm–7:30am) is within an 11-bed pediatric oncology unit offering chemotherapy and supportive care.

You will provide family-centered care, participate in rounds, educate patients and families, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality outcomes. A BSN is preferred; EPIC experience is a plus and federal/state regulations apply.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS and APHON chemotherapy certification are required.
• 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity.
