Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health's Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit in New Brunswick seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for night shifts. The 11-bed unit provides comprehensive care for infants to young adults, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and bone marrow transplantation.
This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, teamwork, and patient-family education, with strong growth and development opportunities. The position requires NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, APHON chemotherapy certification, and 1 year
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and APHON chemotherapy certifications required.
- 1 year pediatric experience preferred.
- Night shift with 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and care team for coordinated care.
- Provide education to patients and families and document in EMR.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and quality improvement initiatives.
