Atlantic Health System in Summit, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the overnight shift in Neuro Acute Care. The role focuses on bedside patient care, assisting physicians and nursing staff to meet basic patient needs while ensuring comfort, safety, and quality of care during night hours.

The incumbent will support ADLs, monitor vital signs, assist with mobility and transfers, and perform clinical tasks such as EKGs and phlebotomy under supervision.

Qualifications

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Record and monitor vital signs (BP, HR, RR, temp).
• Perform basic clinical tasks under supervision (EKG, phlebotomy, glucose checks).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, feeding, and dressing.
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Support patient mobility including ambulation, transfers, and ROM activities.
• Perform post‑mortem care per hospital protocols.
• Conduct clinical tasks such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and glucose monitoring.
• Observe patients and report changes to the RN.
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
