Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Patient Care Technician I for the Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ, working nights 7 pm–7 am. You will assist doctors and nursing staff in meeting basic patient needs, including daily living tasks, vital sign checks, and mobility support.

Responsibilities include performing EKGs, phlebotomy, blood glucose monitoring, and reporting changes to the RN. Requires HS Diploma or equivalent and strong communication skills to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patient and compassionate by nature.
• Ability to operate effectively as part of a team with physicians and nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, dressing).
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Assist patients with mobility including ambulation, transfers, and ROM activities.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN.
