Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Patient Care Technician I for the Evening shift at Overlook Medical Center and Union locations in New Jersey. The role supports doctors and nursing staff by meeting basic patient needs, monitoring vitals, and assisting with mobility and daily activities.

The ideal candidate holds an HS Diploma and BLS certification, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Primary duties include vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and observing patient changes for the RN.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
• Performs post mortem care
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory
• Other related duties as assigned.
