Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a Patient Care Technician II to provide direct patient care under a licensed nurse, including vital signs, hygiene support, mobility assistance and documentation in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit. The role requires strong clinical skills and adherence to safety standards.

Shifts are PRN nights (7:00 pm - 7:00 am); candidates with at least 1 year of prior patient care and an active Texas CNA certification are preferred, with BLS highly regarded and ongoing

Qualifications

• One year of prior patient care experience or similar role (required, acute care preferred).
• BLS certification by AHA within 90 days of employment.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and core competencies.
• Active Texas CNA certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct patient care for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Direct patient care duties include vital signs, visual monitoring of a patient’s condition, hygiene support, toileting support, mobility support, nutrition support, bathing support, charting and other activities of daily living.
• Responsible for timely and accurate documentation; report any unusual changes to the nurse.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment; follows safety rules and Memorial Hermann policies.
• Obtains and prepares laboratory specimens within scope of role.
• Helps orient new employees as appropriate.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to budgetary specifications including time management and supply management.
• Promotes growth by meeting mandatory/continuing education requirements and skill competency.
