Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams and collaborate with radiologists. The role features a 7 on, 7 off graveyard shift (8pm–6am). A sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance may be available.

Required are ARRT MR or ARMRIT credentials, BLS, and IV competency within 30 days. Preference given to those with 1–2 years MRI experience and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required or cross-trained in MRI.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree and MRI experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT MR or ARMRIT competency in MRI procedures.
• Verifies patient identity and prepares the patient for MRI exams.
• Performs MRI exams per protocol and reviews image quality.
• Follows MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within timely timeframes without compromising care.
• Assists and mentors students and junior MRI staff.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns.
• Maintains infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates MRI equipment and related information systems.
• Documents patient information and exam details accurately.
• Adheres to coding, charging, and QC protocols and reports issues.
