Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams in a fast-paced environment. The role is a 7 on, 7 off graveyard shift from 8pm to 6am, with potential sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required or cross-training in MRI.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT/ARMRIT/threshold competency in clinical and technical MRI tasks.
• Prepares patients, verifies orders, and ensures proper identification.
• Performs MRI exams per protocol and reviews image quality.
• Follows MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within reasonable timeframes without compromising care.
• Instructs students and other MRI staff on exam protocols and positioning.
• Provides patient education, comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Applies infection control and sterile technique.
• Operates equipment and information systems to maintain image quality.
• Keeps accurate records of procedures and adverse events.
• Adheres to coding, charging, consents, QC, and reporting protocols.
