Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive Company, is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician Level II in Texas. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to medium repairs in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose, test, and repair truck systems while maintaining safety and compliance. The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, valid DOT credentials, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related field experience, or 5 years' related field experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• DOT medical card valid or will require DOT physical.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, brake, cooling systems and related truck equipment.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck and complete RO documentation.
• Work with clients to assess needs and provide solutions.
